T-BOWL Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall

     T-BOWL is a concept restaurant. Giving you dining the experience that probably had never crossed your mind. The name speaks for itself on what holds inside for your expectation.

Menu cover

 Lets have a glimpse of its origins. It's said that..."The restaurant was originated by the founder, Samuel while he was sitting on a toilet bowl one day. All of a sudden he has an idea of eating while sitting in the toilet bowl just as in the movie directed by Anthony Wong a few years ago. Furthermore, he would like to open a special concept restaurant in Penang, hence inspired him to fuse this concept into the food and beverage industries. This restaurant has designed base on the bathroom concept; where the toilet bowl used as seat, basin as dining table, mini toilet bowls as..."- adapted from T-Bowl.com

They expanded the from Queensbay Mall Penang, Sungei Wang Plaza and now they have opened their 3rd outlet at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Center in Petaling Jaya. If you're thinking of giving it a shot, I'd reckon to avoid weekends-Saturdays & Sundays. Their Value Meals are only applicable during weekdays-Mondays-Fridays, if you're thinking of cutting that extra buck on the bill. Plus, you wouldn't want to get stuck in the mall congestion on the weekends.

 Unfortunately not knowing of the weekday promotion, we ended up going on a Sunday afternoon. And on top of that with a queue ahead since its Sunday. I left my contact number to get them to call me when they have a 'table' ready. 10-15mins later I received a call, which I would consider the service to be OK since there were probably at least 10 people in front of us in the queue.

Following are what we ordered from the menu

Teppanyaki Black Pepper Steak @ RM13.90++

Cheezee Baked Rice @ RM13.90++

French Toast - By Miss Sheng Ling

 No meal is ever complete without dessert. In this case its their signature dessert.

Donut Delight @ RM4.90++

Donut Delight - By Miss Sheng Ling

Blue Curacao Frappe @ Free for order above RM30(limited time)

Looking at the odds on how often are you going to come across a concept restaurant featuring toilet bowls. And which one of you eats in the toilet at home. Explore the opportunity over here at T-Bowl. For a first-timer its worth the shot. Also for parties or even just a long conversation with your buddies over lunch. Special thanks to my guest photo contributor, Miss Sheng Ling

YES Malaysia's First 4G Mobile Network

     Finally launched on 19th November 2010 after a long suspense wait to see what YTL Corporation had to offer. Booking the SIM-less technology YES ID started off months before at YES.MY As any other tech enthusiast, one would definitely want to know the rates and plans offered, even the public for that matter. But when I tried logging into YES.MY, my web browser, Mozilla Firefox seemed to be fetching error from the server. From what I heard, the web developers over at YES are still patching-up their site and upgrade process will take place once in awhile throughout few more weeks period. No exact date for a perfectly functioning site.

On the way home today, I dropped by at KL Sentral to visit YES booth which will be available till the 1st December 2010. The promoters over there really did clear my doubts I had on the new service. As much as I felt lost before this, and their brochures might not have reached cities near you, I have made available in online content. Check it out!

     It was just couple of hours away till Rachel turns 20. Two of us, Rachel and I decided to dine at Wong Kok. Flipping through the menu, we found their birthday treat offer on the last page of their menu booklet. You're eligible for their birthday treat as long as it's +/- 3 days of your birthday & minimum order of RM30 on a single receipt. Just make sure you have your Identity Card (MyKad) along with you for verification purpose.

Semester Break Vacation Langkawi Island

With unbeatable low fares and their remarkable flight+hotel package, AirAsia has brought upon convenience of flying to everyone! The ones that I think benefit the most, are students like us. Instead of catching many hours of land ride plus the hassle of ferry transfer to the island from the mainland, the reasonable fare(pay what you need) had made us decide..."Why don’t we catch a flight?" 3Days 2Nights(19th-21st August ‘09) stay at Hotel Helang along with to and fro flight tickets(KUL-LGK-KUL) got us paying nothing more than RM 200 per person when the booking made through AirAsiaGO. Our flight was scheduled to depart at 7.15am on 19th Sep’09. I still remember bargaining the rates with the taxi driver on the phone the night before. There are 5 of us, and all of the taxi drivers were reluctant to take more than 4, due to the possibilities of a road block. But surprisingly one guy said OK, and he obviously came with his own rate. I’d say its fine since it was at wee hours, 9 out 10 taxi drivers are going to charge you RM50 from INTI College to LCCT. Plus, this guy agreed with 5 passengers with an extra RM20. He’s a reliable one. I asked him to come at 5.20am in the morning. Guess what…he even gave me a wake-up call at 4! And he arrived at our block at 5.10am. Not bad huh? Just in case it might come in handy, here's his number +6012-9254674(Kumar). The short journey to Langkawi shouldn’t take you anything more than an hour from Kuala Lumpur. If you’re flying in the morning, get a window seat on the left if you facing the cockpit. You’ll have a good view of the Pregnant Maiden Lake and the Langkawi Cable Car at the top of he hill in good weather.
